Well, pass the Kleenex! This cold has hit me HARD! What a way to welcome in my ninth month of pregnancy, yeah? Sheesh.
I've been at home for the past five days, listening to Tom in the afternoon, talking to my radio as if I was talking to him :-). I'm glad to finally be back at work. I still keep sneezing and sniffing my nose, but I think I'm on the road to recovery. It's hard because you're not supposed to take certain medications when you're pregnant, and I've always loved Alka-Seltzer Cold medicine, and I can't have any of that! So I'm just trying to get through this naturally. My mom has been so helpful, she's been at my house nearly every day, making homemade soup and helping me keep the place tidy. I'm so thankful for her!
Soooooooo.... are you ready for the big announcement? I promised to reveal this little one's name! We've actually known for quite some time, and we've kept it a secret so far on-air. But I figured that since you've taken the time to find this journal online, well, then you deserve to know a little early. *grin.* Drumroll please............ her name will be Olivia! Joel and I were able to agree on Olivia from the get-go, so it was a really easy decision. No baby name books needed.
It got me to thinking, though: What a privlidge it is to name a person! I did a Google search the other day and found out the meaning, which I just love: Olivia's latin origon is "Olive Tree" - and Biblically, the olive tree is a symbol of fruitfulness, beauty and dignity. Something about that just strikes me - and as I begin to pray more and more over her life, I find myself praying those words specifically: Fruitfulness, beauty and dignity. I just can't wait to watch her life unfold! I'm just so amazed that God is going to entrust us with a daughter! I can't even imagine, if I have this much love for her now, what it's going to be like when I finally lay eyes on her.

Sarah,
Praying that the Lord will give you strength and healing to get over that pesky cold! I guess December 29th is too early for Olivia (that's my birthday). Just remember as Olivia grows to give her as many presents on Christmas and her birthday as if her birthday were not as close to Christmas. Otherwise she will fill jipped :).
Blessings,
John and Family
Hi Sarah,
I love *Olivia*! Waht comes to mind for me is Peace and Hope with what the olive branch represents.
Many blessings for your cold!! Better to have it now than at delivery.
Love,
Karole
Sarah,
Enjoy this last bit...the fun is just beginning! As I sit here with Keigen on my lap, I know that you are so excited to meet Olivia that you can hardly stand it. It will be worth it all, I promise. We love you and can hardly wait for your exciting announcement.
Love,
Shannon, Keith, and Keigen
A beautiful name! Praying you feel better - it's no fun giving birth when you are sick.

My step sister is 25 and she is pregnant, her baby's due Dec. 25th! I gasped when I read your post here, she is having a boy. But her "girl" name was Olivia, and like you she loves that name, and chose it without any help or books!
She commented to me recently, that she feels like Mary, pondering and preparing for the birth of her own Christmas Baby.
I wonder Did Mary nest? Did Mary have mood swings? Did Mary have morning sickness? Did Mary really understand the significance of the child she carried? DO WE? Is my child going to change the world?
I think Christmas Babies are doubley blessed to share their birthday with the most important person that ever lived!
I have 4 kids, and the best advice I can give you is, take care of YOU too. ;o)
Congrats! I completely understand about having a cold so close to your due date. I had one right before I was due in Oct. Thankfully the day I was admitted my cold went away! I just know the Lord will relieve you of your cold too!
Sarah, She will be a light in your life. Never stop snuggling with her or telling her how beautifully and wonderfully made she is. My daughter is 12 and a 1/2 now and we still have our bedtime ritual of snuggling, talking, praying and saying good night each and every night. I am so proud of the wonderful daughter God has given to me. You will have ups and downs as they hit those pre-teen years but I can truly say it has been definitely more ups than anything. God Bless you and your beautiful family.
In Christ,

Wow, what a blessing, I can't even imagine what it will be like to have kids. Olivia is a beautiful name AND it's not all that common which is good.
Much love and many blessings,
Alena Lorraine
