Normal Day

Last week, when Olivia was sick, I mentioned to my mom that I just wanted everything to be normal again. Healthy baby, healthy family, normal day.

She found this poem, and I'm happy to post it today when I have a healthy baby, a healthy family, a normal day.

"Normal day, let me be aware of the treasure you are.
Let me learn from you, love you, savor you, bless you, before you depart.
Let me not pass you by in quest of some rare and perfect tomorrow.
Let me hold you while I may, for it will not always be so.
One day I shall dig my fingers into the earth,
or bury my face into the pillow,
or stretch myself taught,
or raise my hands to the sky,
and want more than all the world;
your return.

Hi Sarah,
I am so glad to hear that Olivia is healthy again and that things are back to normal at your house. You have an absolutely beautiful daughter, and a wonderful perspective on life. Thank you for your blog updates - I love to read them. You have touched my life with your postings and comments on air, and I am sure that I am not the only ones. May God continue to pour out his blessings on you and your family.
Best,
Chelsea
