The number one question

"Where DID she get those curls?"

I have no idea. Both Joel & I both had "baby" curls when we were small, but nothing like this. Shes my little Shirley Temple. I never pictured myself with a curly-top girl, mostly because my hair is stick straight...and I've spent half the better part of my adult life trying to find a hairspray strong enough to help my hair hold curl for at least a half hour.

I love when people ask "Do YOU curl her hair?" and I'm all like, "Yes. I permed it this morning." ;-)

Sometimes I catch my mom delicately twirling each curl around her finger, to make it go 'boing!' I don't know how long she'll have this head of hair, but you better believe I have no plans on her first haircut any time soon.

She is so beautiful Sarah. My hair has never held a curl, makes me so mad. I can't even get swoop bangs! Mackenzie has curls like that on the underneath and then the rest of her hair is straight and just curls under. So crazy. How does Olivia do with the hair pretty's? Does she leave them in? How is the house stuff going?

so adorable..

Aussie Sprunch spray holds curls pretty well (but leaves a "I used product to get these curls feel to it). And Pureology Real Curl works well too.. (leaves your hair soft, not sure if it will hold the curl in your hair too long)

I have what's called the "Thick and Nappy" locks- got any suggestions for that? ;)

She is absolutely beautiful, Sarah. I hope those curls last (although if they do, she will hate them when she's a teenager, lol). I love hearing your stories about her on the radio.

Oh yeah...did Tom's wife have her baby YET???

Not to get nerdy on you but genes are two sided one dominant and one recessive, its likely you and your significant other both had recessive genes for curly hair and they arranged in such a way that only the recessive genes combined and the expressed trait is shown.
